A few tips I share with all my clients!
- Flat lay detail photos are a favorite of mine! If you want these, please gather the items you'd like included and set them aside for me (using a basket, box or bin for these items is really helpful!) to arrange when I arrive. Some great items to consider:
- Wedding invitation & stationery
- Rings (engagement and wedding bands)
- Shoes, veil, and hair accessories
- Jewelry and perfume
- Bouquet or loose florals and boutonniere
- Special fabrics like ribbon, lace, or a handkerchief
- Vow books
- Decorative elements (wax seals, ring box, vintage trays, etc.)
- Meaningful keepsakes or heirlooms
- Have your details ready. Beyond flat lays, set aside anything else special you want photographed, like letters, custom dress hangers, or sentimental gifts.
- Communicate with family in advance. If certain family members need to be present for formal portraits, letting them know ahead helps keep the day running smoothly. I always suggest designating one or two friends or family members to help delegate family photos and make sure everyone is where they need to be so things flow smoothly for portraits.
- Enjoy the day with your soulmate! Your best photos happen when you’re relaxed and present—so take a deep breath, soak it all in, and let me take care of the rest.
- Keep me in the loop. If anything about the day or timeline changes, just let me know! I’m here to capture your day exactly as you envision it.
